Student Exchange Program
Overview
Students who would like to participate in Meiji University’s Student Exchange Program need to be recommended by a university which has an agreement in place with Meiji University. At the present time Meiji University has agreements in place with 109 universities, and 83 of these are currently participating in the Student Exchange Program. Students can also ask the relevant person at their home university’s international exchange office for information on the procedures for applying to the program.

Housing for Exchange Students
Meiji University has a Hall of Residence for exchange students called Izumi International House (Izumi IH). Exchange students can apply for this accommodation at the same time as they apply for a place on the Student Exchange Program.
At Izumi IH each student has their own room. Each room is equipped with a shower, toilet, desk, bed, bookshelf and closet. There is also a communal space with a kitchen and washing machine for between 6 and 8 students.

Attention: In cases where the number of applicants for rooms at Izumi IH exceeds supply, a lottery will take place to decide which applicants will be provided with rooms. The University can introduce students who are unable to stay at Izumi IH to alternative accommodation.
