Student Exchange Program

Application Procedure

Students who would like to apply for Meiji University’s Student Exchange Program will need to submit the below forms to the international office of their home university. When submitting the forms please consult the international office of your home university should you need to.

1. Application Check List
2. Meiji University Exchange Student Program Application Form
3. Study Plan (written or typed in Japanese)

4. One Official Academic Transcript (written in Japanese or English)
   *Please be sure to submit the latest transcript which mentions the grades of the last academic year (semester) just before the application.

5. One Letter of Recommendation (written in Japanese or English)

6. Certificate of Japanese Language Proficiency written by your Japanese language teacher

7. (1) or (2) : Documents Proving your Japanese Language Proficiency
   (1) Certificate of Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Level 1-3)
   (2) Answer Sheet of ‘2008 Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Level 1-3)’

8. Health Information Form
9. Statement of Financial Support
10. Essay about ‘What you would like to do as an exchange student in Japan’ (written or typed in Japanese) (2 pages maximum)
11. Application for Certificate of Eligibility
12. Five Identical Photographs (3cm x 4cm)
13. One Passport Copy
14. Accommodation Request Form
