Without law, you can find no answers

TAKACHI, Shigeyo
Law regulates people’s behavior and the formation of society. It solves the conflicts of interests, or prevents them. In the Department of law, students learn the relationships between laws and people, and study complicated cases of conflict from every possible angle. They then evaluate those cases in relation to society, state and foreign countries. Through these investigations, students will come to the most appropriate decisions.
Learning law needs true understanding of human nature and all human conditions including the problems of life and death and inequality between men and women. While most people are noble members of society, there exist also those who commit unspeakable acts, such as murder. You will be asked to understand them. Therefore, studying law is studying the human condition. If a lawyer has only professional knowledge, he is meaningless. Furthermore, a competent lawyer today needs to be proficient in foreign languages.
